Subsurface electrical resistivity studies to characterize the geotechnical and hydrogeological behavior of the site.

Using vertical electrical soundings and resistivity tomography, we surveyed the subsurface structure in the Veladero leach pad area. This type of study identifies resistivity contrasts associated with lithological variations, saturation and potential infiltration paths, providing key information for the operation’s geotechnical design and control. The data are processed and interpreted together with the available geological information to build subsurface models that support the client’s decision-making.
